This questionnaire has been prepared with both culturally oriented and culture fair items.
The three parts of the contest are called Verbal Analogies, Numerical Sequences, Word Similarities,
and gather twenty items each.
Every question counts 1 point, and there is no disadvantage for wrong answers, therefore maximum
possible raw scores for the parts and the composite scale are 20 and 60 respectively. Questions are not
arranged in ascending order of difficulty as arrangement has been randomly executed. Even if you do
not find an answer, it is important that you continue by passing to the next question as it could be
significantly easier.
For practical reasons, only one try is accepted, please take your time to work, and submit your answers
only after having given your best. The unique procedure for submitting answers is the use of the
computerized form available on both Cerebrals.org and Cogn-IQ.org. Please, do not use assistance.
Any assistance from other persons is strictly prohibited.
Taking the C-10 is completely free. However, if you appreciate it and would like to support all the
work done to make it available, a PayPal donation to donation@cogn-iq.org would be more than
welcome. Thank you so much in advance for your support!
PART I
VERBAL ANALOGIES
These problems have been designed to emphasis reasoning on breadth and depth of acquired
knowledge in both domains that do not necessarily represent universal experiences in culture and
domains that primarily reflect general knowledge accumulated via the experience of cultural
universals.
Find the word which logically completes the analogy as in the given example:

PART II
NUMERICAL SEQUENCES
Although this part of the questionnaire is prepared with numbers, acquired knowledge in mathematics
is reduced to bare minimum. Apart from primary-school level basic arithmetic, such as addition and
subtraction, numbers are chiefly used as symbols and might have been replaced by drawings, or
figures. These sequences involve induction, in other words, to find a specific rule and to generalize it.
Difficulty mainly grows as a function of the number of rules to deal with in order to find missing
elements. Calculators are allowed.
Continue the sequence by adding the two following elements as in the given example:

PART III
WORD SIMILARITIES
The items of the third part may require very advanced lexical knowledge. They are heavily culturally
oriented and do not necessarily involve knowledge acquired through cultural universals.
Rearrange the letters, and when required, find the one which is missing in order to complete the
sentence as in the given example:
