Process incoming electronic and paper applications and transcripts. Input data into CAMS, update
information (status and document tracking), and scan and link materials into Image Now.
Train co-workers, and work study students on old and new systems, functions, and processes.
Provide administrative support for Faculty, Staff, and Students. Compile departmental data for recurring
surveys, reports, presentations, transcript requests, and proctor exams.
Coordinate book orders and serve as liaison between the campus bookstores, publishers, and
the Physics department.
Place and remove undergraduate student advisement holds, and make sure that graduate students are
registered properly each semester.
Process incoming graduate student applications, create and distribute files to graduate decision committee,
and arrange hotel reservations for prospective graduate students. Assist with graduate student admissions,
advisement, thesis announcements, student financial account corrections, and processing of graduate
paperwork. Facilitate research and teaching assistant designations, and place tuition waivers on graduate
student accounts.
Coordinate application process and hiring of undergraduate teaching assistants, as well as scheduling of
assignments. Schedule speakers for Senior Seminar, and first year graduate student courses.
Facilitate faculty teaching, and teaching assistant course evaluation procedures by retrieving data collected
by the Center for Enhancement of Teaching and Learning.
Process information pertaining to Student Visas (F1/J1), and serve as department point of contact for the
Office of International Education.
Maintain Academic Office purchase card (P-Card), handle purchasing responsibilities, and reconciling
statements.
Supervise graduate student assistants, assign, and monitor duties.
