Water conservation is important as water is a precious resource and the supply is not endless. Employees should be mindful not to waste water when filling tanks, washing trucks, or checking slump at the inspection platform. Turning off water immediately after each use and using only as much as needed can help conserve hundreds of gallons each day and preserve water for future generations.

Water is one of our most precious resources and it is
not a never-ending supply. Please do your part and be good stewards of our natural resources so that our children and grandchildren will have an ample supply of water
BEST PRACTICES FOR WATER CONSERVATION:
Do not allow water to run over when filling the side tanks. Water should be turned off immediately when the tank is full. Based on a conservative estimate, 100 gallons a minute could be wasted.
Do not use large diameter hoses for truck washing.
Small hoses are usually adequate.
Use as little water as practical to keep trucks clean.
Turn the water off when checking the slump at the
inspection platform. Allowing water to run continuously while adjusting slump could waste up to 300 gallons.
Ensure that the water is turned off after each use.
