Writing Homework

Instructions: This file contains 1 set of Writing Task 1 and Writing Task 2 arranged by question type.

For Task 1
Write and submit each question type after writing your essay.

For Task 2
Before proceeding in writing your essay answers, please provide me first with the OUTLINE of your
essay. For this purpose only, make sure that your outline is comprehensive enough; you may use
sentences and you may write an explanation, a comment or a question. Again, write and submit an
outline first.
After writing an outline, wait for my response.
Feedback: Depending on your availability, feedback maybe done in person or any other means you
are comfortable with. For one on one feedback, I can give you an hour of my time but be sure to
inform me in advance.
You have a lot to practice on especially in writing, so please use your time wisely.

me if the doors are locked.
Use the previous notes I gave you to help you answer all of this. If you wish to have a copy again, just
inform me. It is better if you actually print this, just give me a USB.

I can still have classes if you wish. If you wish to have regular classes for the other skills, please do
inform me.
Mock Tests will now be weekly but, again, please do inform me in advance so I can prepare.
However, starting now, as agreed before, you will have to pay for the printouts for the mock tests.

REVIEW: How to make an outline

Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes
(for example working for a charity, improving the neighborhood or teaching sports to younger children). To
what extent do you agree or disagree?

c. Example: Persons who are innately introvert may have a hard time coping up with the activities
and instead of learning from it, the opposite may be true. These types of persons may actually
learn more if they are in a classroom environment.

b. Opinion (Depending on the answer) - There should be a compromise. While acknowledging the
importance of community service programs, it should also be noted that not all children may be
amenable to it. Hence, it should only be voluntary.
