Suggested Method:

1. Copy one handout for each individual learner.

2. Explain that the learners are going to do a spelling test. They will be given most
of the letters in the word(s). The learners need to write in the missing letters.
Distribute the handouts and give students a time limit in which to complete the
test. Make sure there's no cheating going on.

3. For feedback, one option is to redistribute the papers and have the learners
mark one of their colleague's test. Elicit the answers from the students and write
them up on the board. Alternatively, have the learners come up and write them.

4. To review the words later in the lesson or in the next class, get the learners to
cover the words and try to recite the spelling of the words using the pictures only.
Drill the words if necessary for correct pronunciation.
