Dear Mr!

Task 1:
The line chart illustrates the data of people using Toronto Metro system for
travelling (commuting) from Monday to Friday in the time examined July 2007.

It is evident that there was an fluctuation in the figure of traveller

movement on this system during the period.

The time from 6:00AM to 8:00 AM and from 4:00PM to 6:00 PM witnessed
the sharp increase which started with 100,000 people, and reached the peak at
400,000 people in the number of passengers.

Traveller movement in different time like 8AM to 10AM, 2PM to 4PM and
6PM to 8PM had the same pattern which is dramatic decrease. Obviously,
200,000 people was the rate of reduction from 8AM to 10AM, between 2PM and
4Pm whereas the time between 6PM and 8PM was over 250,000 people.

There was a gentle (mild) growth (rise) from 10AM to 2PM at under
200,000 people and over 200,000 people respectively, which is still higher than
the period 0f 8PM and 10PM.

TASK 2:
School is the place where students are taught (about) both morality and
knowledge. However, some people argued that schools curriculum payed (pay)
attention on conventional lessons more than others, which lack of reparation for
children to conquer modern world. So, is this a good thing or a bad thing?

To begin with, it is not denied that traditional subjects approriated in the

vital factor of curriculum at school. However, if school focus so much on this, it
will create a huge burdens on students. For instance, after a hard-working day,
student must do a lot of homeworks on various subjects without traning or taking
part in social activities, which thereby leading to lack of their skills. Furthermore,
a huge syllabus which is turned out to be not useful to some students in many
subjects because every student will have a different life and will need different
knowledge. For example, when student like Math, the program of study should
arrange so much Math classes in their schedule. Thiss mean, school should be
flexile curriculum for each student.

On the other hand, although conventional subjects have some negative

effects on students, they just still have many benefits. When students learned
various subjects, this will can widen their knowledge in many aspects in their life.
As a result, they can have a fully growth about their consciousness or may be they
can apply that knowledge in another job if main major is uncomfortale with them.
So, they will have various choices in their life in the future.

In conclusion, As far as I am concerned that focusing so much on traditional

subjects at school brings about both pros and cons. Students will be become
pressure (under pressure) from day to day, and after that they can not find the
side that they prefer to. Instead of this, school should reduce the irrelevant
subjects, and must be more flexible in curriculum based on students s need.
