disease of alcoholism and how it can be treated. The authors are physicians themselves so they
speak from first hand experiences. The short article talks about what can cause alcoholism, the
misinterpretations, getting treatment for the disease, and how to move on from it.
This article was very eye opening for me. Its important to be aware of the cause and
effects of alcoholism. Its not only an addiction but also a disease and it should be treated as
such. I learned from this source small yet important details of alcoholism, such as the fact that
the leading cause of death for men between the ages of 25 to 44 years old is alcohol related. This
is how I related this article to my inquiry project. My dad is an alcoholic and he is 36 years old.
He struggled really badly with the disease for most of my middle school and high school careers
but he has since then gone to rehabilitation and bettered himself. Today he is almost a year and a
half sober. It was important, to me, to read up on the subject of alcoholism so that I could better
We can tell this article is credible for many reasons. First of all, it was a peer-reviewed
article. Another reason I know its credible is because the article was written by doctors who
have dealt with the issues of alcoholism first hand. They have spoken to and treated many
alcoholics. The authors use many other physicians to reference their information. They also used
reliable graphs and numbers to better provide information on the topic of alcoholism.

This short article addresses alcoholism as a disease. It states that alcoholics should not be
treated poorly because they deserve love just like anybody else all they need is support. The
article also points alcoholics to the National Council on Alcoholism located in New York. The
The most important part of this article, to me, was the three concepts of alcoholism. It
states that these three concepts are: 1. Alcoholism is a disease. 2. The alcoholic is a sick person.
3. The alcoholic can be helped and is worth helping. The three concepts are very important to
understand. An alcoholic is no different from anybody else, they are sick and can be treated.
They shouldnt be condemned, they should be cared for. Relating back to my dad, Ive always
tried to be forgiving of his drunk actions because I understand that he is (or was) sick.
Alcoholism is a short article that was peer-reviewed. The article creates a short play on
the problem of alcoholism and it discusses how the problem can be treated. It comes from a
larger journal called Pastoral Psychology compiled of different articles on human behavior. Each

The Alcoholism Generator defines alcohol abuse and how alcohol can impact 3 types of
people: the fetus, the adolescent, and the adult. The article also discusses how to break the
Alcohol Generator and how to reduce alcohol exposure among the 3 types of people.
Alcohol abuse affects people differently. This article shows that the fetus could have
brain damage caused by being exposed to alcohol. The adolescent is more likely to make bad
decisions under the influence. The adult could destroy their liver and get diseases that could
cause death. The article specifically focuses on pushing teens away from binge-drinking or
starting to drink at an early age. I feel that its important to know how alcohol has impacted
peoples lives. I have always tried to stay away from alcohol because I have seen how it can
affect people negatively. Ive also heard that alcoholism is predisposed so I could possibly
The Alcoholism Generator was peer reviewed. The article is also supported by the
National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. The author also used reliable resources

This article titled Profiling for Alcohol Addiction comes from a larger book called the
European Psychiatry. The basis of this article is to describe who is more likely to become
addicted to alcohol. The author ran certain tests and discovered that the unemployed male

without higher education is most likely to suffer from alcoholism. Personality traits can also
come into play like the need for acceptance, the sense of inferiority, sensitivity to rejection, etc.
I believe that this article was important to include in my annotated bibliography because
it provides a sense of what or how to expect to see alcoholism. If we know that unemployed
males without higher education are more likely to become addicted, we can maybe come up with
ways to prevent it before it gets out of hand. Oddly enough, my father was barely any of the
things the article described. He became addicted at the age of 25 and he had a stable job. I
believe my dad also has a sense of superiority. I think even amongst the test and surveys that
were done, alcoholism can precede in anyone. It all depends on the person.
This source was peer reviewed. The authors come from high-up schools such as Victor
Babes University of Pharmacy and Medicine located in Romania. We also know this source is
reliable because it provided a test among 46 subjects from Timisoaras Psychiatric Clinic.

The aim of this article is to address how females are most often affected by alcoholism
after treatment. The authors took a group of 120 females who were treated for alcohol addiction
and assessed them twice, over the course of 2 years, using the Depression scale. After treatment,
This journal article portray light on how alcohol can affect women with depression and
dysfunctional attitudes. I think its important that people know how negatively alcohol can
impact not only peoples lives but their minds and their hearts. If women before treatment of
their alcoholism suffer severely from alcoholism, then maybe we can get the message across that
