Mrs. Nila completed her Post Graduation in
Agriculture Marketing & Management in the year
1994 from Tamilnadu Agricultural University,
Coimbatore. She is from an agricultural family. Her
father owns about 10 acres of land at a near by under
village coconut plantations.
After Graduation, she joined in a Pune based private
company, “TRINIDI MICRONUTRIANTS” at Pollachi
as Manager in 1995. She married Shri.Mubarak Ali,
a Post Graduate in Sociology working in a private
company at Chennai. After two years, her husband
also joined TRINIDI MICRONUTRIANTS at Pollachi
as Administrative Manager. Both of them worked in
the company for 10 years at Pollachi. Their jobs
included activities like Production and Marketing of
micronutrients. After gaining sufficient experience
in the line, they thought of starting their own venture
for manufacturing of micro nutrients.
Enterprising in nature, Mrs. Nila took bold decision
of resigning from her job and to start her own
business. She started with the production of
Micronutrients for crops like Coconut, Banana,
Vegetables, Sugarcane, Turmeric, Paddy etc., and
providing technical advice to the farmers of that
area.
She came to know about AC&ABC scheme of
MANAGE through Dr.Palaniswamy, the Director of
CARDS, Tamilnadu Agricultural University,
Coimbatore and decided to under go the training
to enrich her technical and managerial aspects of
agri enterprises. She joined training at CARDS

Rs.3.00 lakhs per year to Rs. 6 to 7 Lakhs per year.
The agripreneur is operating in 4 districts of
Tamilnadu and in parts of Karnataka and Maharastra.
In all, she is reaching out to about 100 villages.
? Apart from the three of them (Mrs.Nila, her
husband and a business partner), there are 10
skilled workers (Diploma holders in Agriculture)
and 6 unskilled workers employed in the production
unit. She has also created indirect employment for
about 60 people engaged loading/ unloading,
transportation, labor in the Agricultural fields. Today
her firms provide the following services to farmers

importance and usage of micronutrients. This is
resulting in increased yields and income in the
crops like Banana and Coconut in the area.
Mrs.Nila is not only successful in
