IBSV "Fesco Sakhalin" has operated at Sakhalin oil field over five years in difficult
ice environment. During this period there has not been any off-hire time and only
minor challenges with technical equipment. We have been able to solve them
because of vessel's skilled crew and co-operation with ABB and its partners. Far
Eastern Shipping Company is satisfied of the performance and reliability of the
Azipod propulsion system.

Fast Ferries Akashia and Hamanasu

After several months of operation with Akashia and Hamanasu, SNF

reports that, based on bunkering records, the two older ships
consumed over 20% more fuel to perform the same service as the new
ferries with CRP Azipod propulsion.
Reefer trailers are used to transport high-grade perishable food
products from Hokkaido. On the return trip the electrical power can be
used for propulsion, if necessary.
The vehicle turnaround is reduced by 25% the reduced
transportation time makes SNF an alternative to air cargo
for perishable foodstuff. we are not only improving
our operations, we are also opening up new markets
