Abstract
This paper includes my current technology proficiency in education. The content will
include data compiled from a technology assessment, in which I took to see where I am at in
terms of proficiency level. This paper will also include my current mastery level at proficient
through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Included in the
paper is the four stage model framework as listed by Scott Noon, in which I am at Stage 3:
I have been teaching secondary education for ten years. In that time I have grown as an
educator in my pedagogical practice and have enhanced my learning of content standard based
lesson through professional development. Those ten years have also developed my
understanding of using technology in the classroom to effectively reach students and meet
California state standards. According to Scott Noons four stage framework of teacher

classroom and google sites consistently throughout my content curriculum with ease. In
addition, I assess my students through google forms exclusively so that they may receive instant

This test confirmed my score of 33/50. ( Tjay, ProProfs, 2017) The test results suggested that
there is plenty of room for advancement in the basic knowledge of technology. This is an
important test, due to its simple understanding of the entire internet world. This was covered in
our course work for EDTC 511 in lesson two titled PC Worksheet. The growth of basic

self-assessment tool I design and develop lessons that integrate technology in a variety of
technological teaching practice. I am currently created more wiki pages using google sites and
assigning performance tasks that allow students to take ownership of their own learning. The
practice of creating these wikis has been through a lot of trial and error. I watched youtube clips
and treated them as my own professional development. Which according to stage three, I
part of the professional development leadership at my school site. Being in this position, I have
attended my professional developments and have been in charge of my own cohort of teachers
implementing technology in the classroom. I recently lead a team of eight teachers in developing
lesson plans around google classroom and assessing students with google forms. It is easy to
teach colleagues to how to use websites and understand how to create lessons using technology,
but to get them to understand the technology standards is difficult. I find myself struggling with
some of the standards listed by the ISTE. The standard that I must master is the adapting
relevant learning experiences incorporated in digital learning. (ISTE, 2008) I understand that
google classroom will not be applicable outside of the classroom, I need to find technology that
proficiency. Through future Masters course work and continual practice, I have no doubt that I
