In this unit, the students will learn what goes into

We will also explore how to proofread and edit your own work and the students will make their own short stories either online or on paper, whichever they choose. They will write their own story, draw their own pictures, and edit their story. Then the next class period, the students will be able to share their story with their classmates if they wish. 2.1 The student will demonstrate an understanding of Objective oral language structure. a) Create oral stories to share with other. e) Begin to self-correct errors in language use.

Materials to add to this list 1. Read the short story book Activities and 2. Have a class-wide or small group discussion and procedures talk about what made the story good. 3. Make a list of dos and do nots for writing a storybook. 4. Talk about how authors edit their own books (Reread their own work, read it outload, have someone else read their work for them, etc.) 5. Introduce the technology that we will be using to make the stories online 6. Talk about what needs to be included in the stories and review the rubric 7. Show the students an example made by the teacher 8. Give the students time in class to work on their own story book as well as allow them to take it home and work on it at home. 9. Allow the students to present their story to their classmates the next class period if they wish to do so.
