General Conditions

1. Price Structure
The prices quoted herein are understood ex works Germany, accordingly to
INCOTERMS 2000 EXW, excluding packing, insurance and customs duties.
All values are shown and payable in EURO.

2. Terms of Payment
By irrevocable and confirmed Letter of Credit through Deutsche Bank AG issued after receipt of order
acknowledgement with a validity of six months.

3. Validity of Quotation
This quotation is valid until 11.09.2003.

4. Delivery
The delivery time of the analyser package is presently xx weeks after receipt of order or letter of intent and
clarification of all technical and commercial terms.

5. Warranty
The warranty period is 12 months, at the longest 18 months after delivery. Excluded are wear and tear
parts like light bulbs, filters, gaskets, etc..
We expressly point out that SICK AG shall take over warranty claims for wear parts and parts with a known
limited duration only, if these parts are defected, but not in the case of wearout or end of duration.

6. Exclusion of manufacturers guarantee

Technical data, specifications of measuring ranges, availabilities etc. do not represent a manufacturers
guarantee within the meaning of the German law of obligations, but merely specifications of attribute.

7. Subject to Alteration
All rights of technical alteration are reserved. This offer is subject to change without prior notice.

8. Verbal Agreements
are subject to written confirmation. Otherwise, those ones cannot be accepted.

9. Final Acceptance
The final acceptance of our instruments and systems takes place in our plant at Reute, Germany. The final
acceptance is part of our quality management system and will be performed accordingly to individual
acceptance specification of each instrument. You can attend the final acceptance test against additional
charge (960 /day).

10. Applicable Law

This offer and the following contract shall be subject to German law, excluding the UN Sales Convention

11. General Terms

The General Conditions of Export of the SICK Group (GCE) apply, save as regulations expressly
stipulated otherwise in this offer.
