- 18 provinces 162 municipalities
- About half of population are Christian
- Angola was ruled by the King of Congo
- Colonized by Portuguese Portugal
- Speaks Bantu and Portuguese
- Independence in 1975

Analysis and opinion Angola was ruled by the King of Congo and then the Portuguese
brought a new religion, Christianity, to trade with the king of Congo, which caused most of
population to be Christian. The Portuguese took control over Angola for many centuries,
which also had influence on language and most culture of Angola. The groups of educated
Angolans began to forming a resistance. Angola attained their official independence in 1975.
I think the colonization of Portuguese can be beneficial to Angola, because Portuguese
might offer protection and technology to the Angolan, which they can use it to create
economic growth.

Question What are the goal 8 in Angola?

Summary - Enhanced services to the poor.

- Better public-sector management.
- Decent jobs in Angola.
- Increase division of labor
- Encourage non-oil economy
- Support entrepreneurship

Analysis and opinion Angola is aiming to create decent work and increase economic
growth by using goal 8. To increase economic growth, the government of Angola has to
enhance the non-oil company because oil resources are limited and the price of oil in Angola
has dropped every year. Since the world is changing and many countries are using
alternative energy rather than fossil fuel. The government has to encourage and support the
small entrepreneurship in both rural area and capital city. This will sustain Angolas
economy. After supported the entrepreneurship, the company will need more labors, so
division of labor will increase and create more decent jobs to the people.

Question Why Cabinda province has the worse problem in Angola?

Summary Major oil resources (more than 150,000 barrels per day)
- Decrease in oil price
- Isolated from the country
- High poverty rate
- oil pumping damages the environment
- unhealthy sanitary condition.

Analysis and opinion Angola is an oil producer country and Cabinda province has one-
third of the countrys oil resources. This mean Cabindas revenue from oil export create
major income for Angola. But lately, some countries are using the alternative energy rather
than fossil fuel and many more country will change too, this action cause the price of the oil
to drop down. Cabinda already has high poverty rate, decrease in oil price can create more
and more problems that hard to solve for Angola. Due to Cabinda located near the oil
industry, it can damage the environment in the area and creates more problems, such as
low amount of clean water, which creates a bad living condition to the populations. Because
of Cabinda is isolated from the country, so the healthcare services and poverty projects may
not fully reach the province.
