YOUTH ARTS FESTIVAL!

Artist Proposal
The Youth Arts Festival will be Saturday, February 24, 2018, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Cochise
College. This free arts festival will serve grades K-8 through dynamic make and take activities
and live performances. Essentially, fun for the whole family!
We are looking for proposals from artists and craftspeople who have ideas for, and who
would like to lead in, art activities for children. We are hoping to offer a wide variety of arts
opportunities, highlighting the following fields: 3D art, 2D art, theatre, music/dance, creative
writing and other crafts. Your activity does not have to work for all ages, but should be able to
service many of the children who attend. Supplies (within reason), lunch, and a $50 stipend will
be provided to the artists who are selected to lead each activity. Student volunteers will be
present from Cochise College and Buena High School to assist lead artists with their activities.
Setup for the event will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 24 with activities concluding by
2:30 p.m., followed by end-of-day events at the Student Union.

Supply list for your project for up to 100 children. Use the space to specifically note supplies and
tools needed. Funding for large supply/tool budgets may not be possible.

Some activities will be held around tables in the Student Union Community room where music
and dance performances will be held during the festival. Please check the box below to let us
know if your activity would be appropriate to locate in this room so that participants and families
may enjoy the performances while they work on your activity:

The commission will be working to provide adult or teen volunteer support but please let us know

If accepted, please report at 9 a.m. on the day of the event to the Student Union to receive a
location and other welcome materials, and to set up.

Accepted artists are eligible to receive a stipend of $50 for their time. Please mark this box if you
