Antonio Business and Community Leaders

Red McCombs Headlines List of Support for Negley

San Antonio, TX Wednesday, December 13, 2017 With the filing deadline for the 2018
Republican Primary having occurred on Monday, the William Negley for Congress campaign is
off to a fast start earning support from business and community leaders who joined together on
Tuesday to publish a letter of support on Williams behalf. Headed by Red McCombs, Alan
Dreeben, Aimee Locke, Eric & Alice Foultz, Corina Holt Richter, Ruth and John Agather, Kathy
Mays Johnson, The Covey Family, and others the letter references Williams service on the front
lines in the War on Terrorism and his support for veterans health care through a non-profit
organization he founded. The full letter can be found below.

Our nation and our state deserve to have leaders who are committed to delivering
conservative solutions that strengthen our national security, empower our economy to create
jobs, and limit the federal government so overbearing regulations are not strangling growth for
our hard-working families, Negley said. Im honored to have these leaders recognize my
seven years of fighting against the deadly scourge of terrorism and helping me launch our
campaign for the 21st Congressional District. My pledge to the people of our district is that I will
bring an unwavering resolve to defend America, uphold the Constitution, and fight for policies
that deliver a stronger future for our children.

Business and Community Leader Letter for William Negley

As you know, after more than 30 years of service, Congressman Lamar Smith announced his
decision to retire at the end of his current term in 2018. This is a crucial moment for us to come
together to act with urgency and responsibility in the primary on March 6, 2018 -- to choose the
next Republican to represent the 21st District of Texas and champion our conservative
principles in Washington.

The filing deadline closed December 11, 2017, and we now know the full slate of Republicans
who have entered the race to replace Congressman Smith.

With that in mind, we are writing to you to introduce William Negley, a man who has already
proven his commitment to protecting and preserving our great country. Some of you may
know William through his deep connections to Texas and the 21st District, his unique
professional experiences and qualifications, and his service to protect our nation from the
terrorist threat overseas. For those of you who want to learn more, or may not be familiar with
William's background, we would like to share with you why we are supporting him and asking
you to join with us.

William is a seventh generation Bexar Countian who followed in the footsteps of generations of
his family's service to our country. He is a veteran of the CIA where he served as an undercover
intelligence officer in places like Afghanistan, and managed a wide range of counterterrorism
and intelligence efforts. Our country deeply needs leaders like William, who have first-hand
experience in dealing with the threats against our nation and delivering solutions to help
protect our country.

William has seen first-hand the toll that service to our country can take on our brothers and
sisters in the armed services, and the crises they face when they come home. Recognizing a
critical need to honor and support those who sacrifice for all of us, William founded a non-
profit to connect veterans and those who serve with counselors and peers who can assist with
PTSD and the transition to civilian life. GENERALLY, OUR LEADERS TALK TOO MUCH AND DO
TOO LITTLE, BUT WILLIAM IS DIFFERENT.

A lifelong Republican, William has worked, volunteered, and supported numerous Republican
campaigns, candidates, and leaders. He believes in greatly limiting the power of the federal
government. William needs and wants your support to do just that. He wants to look you in the
eye, shake your hand, and let you see for yourself what he is made of--and hear what matters
most to you. We are committed to helping him do that.

Our community, our families, and our businesses depend on the actions we take today to
choose and support the right person to represent us in the United States Congress. We must
stand behind William now. Time and resources are so vital to our success in this short time
frame. We support William, and we ask you to do the same!

Please go online to negleyforcongress.com and learn more about William, make your
commitment to support him today, and vote for him in the March 6, 2018 primary. We
absolutely need William Negley as our next Congressman! We have a winner! Go William!

We Ride at Dawn!

About William: William Negley is a seventh generation Texan whose family has been in Bexar
County for more than 180 years. One of Williams earliest ancestors in Texas, Edward Burleson
commanded the Volunteer Army of the Republic of Texas, accepted the Mexican surrender at
the Siege of Bexar, and later served as Vice President of the Republic of Texas.

Following in his familys history of military service in World War I, World War II, and Vietnam,
William joined the Central Intelligence Agency as an undercover intelligence officer. During his
seven years of service to our nation, William helped develop counter terrorism operations in
South Asia and was stationed in Afghanistan to assist in the location and capture of high-value
targets. While he was serving in Afghanistan, William founded the nonprofit veteran service
organization Sound Off, to connect veterans with counselors and peers who could assist with
PTSD and the transition to civilian life after military service. Over the last five years, he has
worked tirelessly to bring about much needed change in the way our country supports
veterans and service members mental health.

A proud husband and father, William has been married to Kelly, a Doctor of Physical Therapy,
for three years and they are the loving parents of 11-month old Mabel. William is an avid
hunter, real estate investor, collector of passports and has recently mastered changing Mabels
diapers.
