ABSTRAK

Koperasi sekolah perlu diurus dengan baik kerana ia adalah salah satu punca
pendapatan kepada pihak sekolah. Tetapi bukan mudah untuk mengurus sesebuah
koperasi jika tiada ilmu pengetahuan yang mencukupi serta amalan pengurusan
koperasi yang baik. Kajian berbentuk deskriptif ini dijalankan untuk menilai tahap
pengetahuan guru koperasi tentang pengurusan koperasi sekolah, tahap amalan
pengurusan koperasi mereka serta tahap penglibatan pengetua dalam pengurusan
koperasi sekolah di daerah Kota Tinggi, Johor. Kajian ini juga dijalankan untuk
melihat perbezaan tahap pengetahuan dan amalan pengurusan koperasi di kalangan
guru koperasi berdasarkan demografi. Selain itu, hubungan di antara tahap amalan
pengurusan koperasi dan tahap penglibatan pegetua dalam pengurusan koperasi
sekolah juga turut dikaji. Kajian rintis yang dijalankan mencatat nilai alpha Cronbach
yang tinggi. Seramai 88 orang responden di daerah Kota Tinggi terpilih untuk
menjawab soal selidik. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil kajian mendapati
bahawa tahap pengetahuan guru koperasi tentang pengurusan koperasi sekolah, tahap
amalan pengurusan koperasi di kalangan guru koperasi serta tahap penglibatan
pengetua dalam pengurusan koperasi sekolah di daerah Kota Tinggi adalah tinggi.
Antara cadangan yang boleh dipertimbangkan ialah pengurusan sekolah perlu
memperuntukkan waktu yang khusus untuk guru koperasi menguruskan koperasi
sekolah.
 ABSTRACT

School cooperatives need to be well-managed because they are one of the

sources of income for the school. But it is not easy to manage a cooperative if there
is not enough knowledge and good cooperative management practices. This
descriptive study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge of cooperative
teachers on the management of school cooperatives, the level of their cooperative
management practices and the level of involvement of principals in the management
of school cooperatives in the district of Kota Tinggi, Johor. This study was also
conducted to examine the different levels of knowledge and practice of co-operative
management among co-operative teachers based on demographics. Additionally, the
relationship between the level of co-operative management practice and the level of
involvement in school cooperative management was also studied. Pilot studies
carried out high alpha Cronbach values. A total of 88 respondents in Kota Tinggi
were selected to answer the questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS. The
findings show that the level of knowledge of cooperative teachers on the
management of school cooperatives, the level of co-operative management practices
among cooperative teachers and the level of involvement of principals in the
management of school cooperatives in Kota Tinggi is high. Among the suggestions
that may be considered is that school management needs to allocate a specific time
for cooperative teachers to manage school cooperatives.
