This video provides a counterargument to the problem to be discussed. It
briefly defines automation and the problems that most researchers predict
with the development of automated machines. This provides a means to
analyze the conflicting arguments and devise rebuttals.

This video will provide the basis for the problem report. It delves into the
general problem to be discussed and provides effects that may arise from
the problem. The creator defines what automation is and the aspects of
life it might effect. He attempts to provide a comprehensive explanation so
that he can appeal to the greater audience and create further urgency.

Automation on Employment, 1963-2000. Final Report. National Science
Foundation, Washington, DC.: Sponsor.
This research report provides statistical information for the effects of
automation in general financial sectors. Although some of the statistical
data provided does negatively affect the employment sectors, most data
refers to the benefits automation has in the general economy. Because
the report mentions the positive effects automation has on labor
conservation and total production output, this provides a logical argument
for the further implementation of automation in the future.

This paper provides information on the direction automation has taken and
perhaps will take by utilizing another medium of research to make these
assumptions: patent requests and grants. By analyzing previous and
currently filed patents, predictions can be deduced using their patterns
and tendencies. This paper may provide the best predictors for the future
of automated technologies in the US.
