Wisconsin continues to experience steady job creation and higher unemployment rates. Wisconsin industries are seeing
broad-based job gains with the professional and business services; construction; manufacturing; education; Health
Services adding the most jobs of the past 12 months. The states unemployment rate remains steady, but rose slightly
from 3.4 percent in August to 3.5 percent in September. In addition, The Midwest consumer price index grew from 0.3%
to 1.5 in September of this year, significantly higher than all urban PCI at 0.7 percent. The economy is like a ripple effect-
one action changes the course of another. Society has a responsibility to be sure the ripples make a positive effect on
the economy so that we can avoid Recessions in the future. We can make changes by viewing trends. Such as the
