to a Universal Storage Platform or Network Storage Controller,
permitting data to be copied from any supported device to any
other supported device, regardless of operating system or protocol

More Efficient Replication
: : Universal Replicator uses asynchronous replication driven by
the remote site to minimize impact on primary production
systems and takes advantage of journaling rather than
cache files to mitigate the high resource usage of other

Hitachi Cross-System Copy Software
Cross-System Copy software enables data to be quickly and easily
copied, in either direction (to/from Universal Storage Platform,
Network Storage Controller, Adaptable Modular Storage model
AMS500*, Lightning 9900™ V Series enterprise systems, and the
Thunder 9585V™ ultra high-end modular system), without the use
of server cycles. Cross-System Copy software can copy data over a
storage area network (SAN) or wide are network (WAN) to meet a
variety of business needs, including content distribution, disk backup,
and disaster recovery.
