Overall Observations:

The student being investigated is very social, by nature. He is playful for his age, and is often

seen being active and talking with his peers.

Wanted affirmations that he was correct when solving a math problem. Left-brain dominant

behavior was noticed (liked explicit steps to solve a problem, would rather do plug-and-chug

type problems that more open ended problem solving ones.

When confident, enjoyed helping others.

Not very receptive to feedback. Didnt want reasons why he was wrong, but just wanted the

right answers.

7/6/2017 Essential Expressions Lots of vocabulary


Greetings Again i +1 was noticed here. All
Mastering Introductions of the verbs from the previous
two days were essential to pass
the quizzes for today.
7/7/2017 More Basic Verbs Again i+1 was noticed here.
I was s truggling with the
feedback given. This by far was
the hardest day of learning. The
feedback was just telling me
correct or incorrect, so I was
having a hard time correcting
why I was making mistakes. It
took several times through for
me to realize why I was getting
the same (or similar) questions
incorrect each time.

7/8/2017 Colors and Numbers I knew all of the numbers and


(1-5) most of the colors (all after a
quick reminder).
There was a ton of vocabulary.
(red truck, blue ball, yellow
banana). I had a very hard time
keeping all of these straight for
the quizzes. Most vocabulary
questions I was getting wrong
because my focus was more on
the number and colors and not
all of the random objects being
used in the context of being a
color and how many there
were.
