and can spread to other devices through files on a USB or shared media.

Hacker Users who break into other peoples computers which can cause their systems to do things they
are not meant to do.

looked down upon.

Cracker Breaks into users computers across the Internet. Cracking computers can break Federal and
State Laws.

What can we do to protect ourselves?

Firewall Software or Hardware that contains potential destruction of computer that is publicly
connected to the internet. This firewall prevents hackers and crackers from entering the same network.
Network two or more computers that are connected in order to share files and devices.

taught or taught by an educator.
Educator An individual who formally teaches learners. Tutors, mentors,
Elementary teachers, college professors, etc.

When does the best learning occur in the classroom?

Engagement Learners being engaged in activities and taking interest in
the subject being taught by the educators. We can use technology in the
classroom to try and get the attention of our learners and keep them
actively involved.

BYOD Bring your own device

This can be helpful when trying to engage students in learning because it
allows them to decide which device they would like to use in order to
engage in the learning process rather than being given a specific school
issued device.

Clickers Device or mobile app where the learners are able to answer
multiple choice questions by using their clickers to input their answers.

Gamification Applying things such as competition, rewards, leveling up,

and goals as if they were playing a game.
Student
Assessment
Student Assessment is used
in order to measure the
knowledge a student has
prior to or after learning a
subject. Clickers can be
used to test the
competency of the
learners. Other forms are
tests, essays, and projects.
