Early Learning Centre Learning Experience

Purpose: Purpose:
Reason for developing learning experience.
This could be in response to an observation, The purpose of this activity is that colouring with crayons not only helps

The children were having a lot of fun scribbling on the paper, so I decided to do

Learning Experience: Children will be provided crayons and Christmas tree
templates in order to colour or create whatever they wish to do so in order to decorate
the tree.

Children will enhance their fine motor skills by holding on to the crayons and
colouring/scribbling with them

Implementation:
-The teacher will call all the children to the table where they will be seated in front of
one page of a Christmas tree template
-The paper will be placed in front of them and taped
-They will then be given crayons and asked to decorate and colour the tree as they
wish
-Throughout the time the children are making something, the teacher will ask them
questions of what they are making and what colour they are using
-After the children are done, the teacher will write their name with pen on it and take
the tape off and place the artwork on the counter to be filed

2 Teaching Learning Strategies:


-List the materials and resources you will use
-Describe the implementation of the Modeling- this is when the children learn through imitation by copying what the
experience, with a step by step description teacher has shown them. I will show the children how to colour inside the tree by
