LEARNING “Information about money is more valuable than money itself”
OBJECTIVES There’s no denying that modern data analytics platforms are impressive displays of
technology, allowing organizations to gain incredible insights into the details of their
constituent bases, marketing campaigns, sales initiatives and countless other aspects
of their operations. The impact of analytics is undeniable, as well as widespread. The
first part of this course will handle the background of analytics and its applications in
various business functions. The second part of this course will focus on Enterprise
systems and its life cycle. The discussion is on ERP evolution, benefits and challenges
and recent trends.

The overall objective of this course is to -


 To emphasize the generation of actionable insights that lead to tangible
improvements in constituent touch points across the organization using
analytics
 To explore the components of Data warehouse and BI architecture and
discusses about the dimensional modelling
 To explore the role of data mining, text mining, and web mining in various
applications from business perspective
 To understand the flavor of analytics and its applications in marketing,
finance and supply chain and present a significant opportunity to impact the
bottom-line of companies in different business verticals through the use of
advanced analytics and sophisticated data modelling.
 To begin exploring the concept of enterprise systems
 To understand and define organizational change management, its key
components, and reasons why it’s so crucial to ERP success
 To have an in depth knowledge of entire ERP implementation life cycle and
methodology
 To understand about next generation Enterprise Resource Planning i.e. ERP II
 To understand the concepts related to Physical, Operations, and Risk
Management security principles and processes related to business continuity
planning

This course comprises of two parts – first is focus on analytics and its application
across industries and second part comprises of the ERP and its extended family.
