To Whom It May Concern:

Dear Madame/Sir,

It is my pleasure to write in support of Mr. Kevin Nerio. Kevin attended all my “Systems Analysis
and Design” classes at California State University, Long Beach between January 23 and May 19,
2017.

During that period, Kevin was always well-prepared, and performed consistently well in class with
pertinent and thoughtful contributions to the discussions, assignments and other class activities.
Kevin made use of my office hours and communicated via email very effectively. Although he
enrolled into my class late, he quickly picked up the material and began to excel within his team.

As part of several team assignments that applied systems analysis and design concepts, he
completed a variety of related tasks by collaborating seamlessly with the rest of the team. The
tasks focused on different stages and aspects of the information systems lifecycle, such as
feasibility analysis, requirements determination, structural and behavioral modeling,
construction, and maintenance. Besides demonstrating thorough comprehension of the subject,
Kevin was an excellent team player. On multiple occasions, he led his team by involving the other
team members and trying to motivate with them in the most polite and constructive way.

In my class, Kevin developed a) the ability to analyze a business need for an information system
and develop an appropriate strategy to solve a business problem, b) the skills necessary to
construct and interpret a variety of system description documents and techniques, such as data

flow and Entity Relationship diagrams, and c) the ability to understand the key considerations in
managing an information systems project.

Kevin’s diligence and enthusiasm, as well as his analytical and teamwork skills and would be an
asset to any organization. He has been a brilliant student and it was a sheer privilege and pleasure
to have him in my classes. Bright, dedicated and skilled, Kevin garners my unequivocal
recommendation.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.

Yours sincerely,
