Goal of the training:

After attending the course, participant will gain insight and fundamentals of alignment and
or condition monitoring and current PRÜFTECHNIK product portfolio.
During training days, the participant will gain experience in applying PRÜFTECHNIK
Alignment or Condition Monitoring equipments effectively and successfully apply it in the
maintenance & industrial markets. Theoretical and practical sessions combined with real
life experience and tips sharing, will enable participants to further develop and update their
skills.

Laser shaft alignment

Training course on shaft alignment for rotating machinery with focus on Laser-shaft
alignment for standard applications using PRÜFTECHNIK devices, with theoretical lessons
and practical hands-on training

Target Participants: Industrial/Mechanical maintenance; technicians or engineers who are

interested; involve in shaft alignment works in the industry. Basic
knowledge/skills/experience on industrial rotating machinery
maintenance is desirable.

Goal: After the training the participant will be able to perform standard shaft
alignment tasks on two coupled machines using laser alignment tools
including final report.

Content:
 Introduction to shaft alignment
 Classical alignment methods (dial indicators)
 Preconditions and preparation for an optimal shaft alignment
 Identifying the appropriate alignment procedure
 Alignment procedure of two coupled machines step-by-step
 Operation of laser alignment devices
 Thermal growth and alignment targets
 Soft foot
 Non- conventional alignment of machines: uncoupled machines, non
rotatable machines, machine train, vertical & flanged machine
 Interactive practical hands-on sessions
 Intro to advanced & geometrical applications (vibration acceptance
check, alignment targets measurement, concentricity of bores, flatness,
straightness and level)
 Preparation of professional reports using PC Software

Certified Vibration Course ISO CAT I –

ISO Standard 18436-2 (Level 1)

Looking for a solid training on vibration? You think a certified approval of

your know-how can help you? Then this course is what you were looking for.

Target Participants: Industrial/Mechanical maintenance; technicians or engineers who are

involve and responsible for condition monitoring works in the industry.
With little or basic understanding for the theoretical basis skill of
vibration measurement technology.
Participants must have at least six (6) months of experience in
vibration

 Maintenance practices
 Condition Monitoring Technologies
 Data Acquisition
 Equipment knowledge
 Basic vibration analysis
 Equipment testing and diagnostics
 Review of ISO standards

Final examination: The final examination consists of 50 questions (multiple choice) that
must be answered in 120 minutes.
The examinee passes the exam if at least 75% of the questions have
been answered correctly.

has more than 15 years of experience with PRUFTECHNIK while he
has accumulated extensive experience in condition monitoring as a
specialist as machinery analyst pertaining to field balancing and
commissioning of online system. His previous vocation in
PRUFTECHNIK Germany was as an instructor and trainer for
condition monitoring.

Condition monitoring vibration diagnostic level 1

Implementation at the basics of vibration measurements

Target Participants: Industrial/Mechanical maintenance; technicians or engineers who are

interested; involve in condition monitoring works in the industry. Basic
knowledge/skills/experience on industrial rotating machinery
maintenance is desirable.

Goal: After the training the participant will be able to indentify and assess the
condition monitoring task by defining and performing the proper and/or
best possible specific procedure accordingly.

Content:
 Measurement of vibration characteristics and trend assessment
 Physical and machines-technical bases its vibration suggestion (rotor
vibration and natural vibrations, bearing sound)
 Vibration measuring technology (sensor technology, vibration
measuring instruments, Software)
 Measure and interpreting from overall values of machines and bearing
sounds.
 Typical damages and their image in vibration behaviour of machines
 Practise examples and practical presentations
 View in the level II vibration diagnosis

Geomerical Alignment (Flatness; Levelness and Bore)

Training course on special application for flatness and bores using PRÜFTECHNIK laser
alignment devices, with theoretical lessons and practical hands-on training.

Target Participants: Industrial/Mechanical maintenance; technicians or engineers who are

involve or interested in knowing the theory and method of performing
bore and flatness measurements using laser technology.

Goal: After the training the participant will be able to lead and perform any
common bore and flatness measurement task including stern tubes;
engine pocket; machine foundation; and bed plates flatness
measurement. The participant will be able to indentify the right method
as well as the accuracy of the measurement taken by defining and
performing the proper and/or best possible specific procedure
accordingly.

Content:
 Introduction to geometrical alignment, theory and classical alignment
methods
 Understanding the physics and characteristics of laser
 Understanding the principle and type of applications that are applicable
(flanges; machine foundations; bed plates; engine pocket; stern tube;
etc)
 Identifying the appropriate step by step preparation and measurement
procedure (rotating laser; static laser)
 Preconditions for an optimal result
 Measurement modes, measurement table, standard deviation and
repeatability check
 Interactive practical hands-on sessions
 Intro to special geometrical applications (parallelism; perpendicular and
plumpness)
 Preparation of professional reports using PC Software

and/or best possible specific procedure accordingly.

spectrum, envelop spectrum, basic frequency, harmonious, side band,

Wanting to know how to perform IN-SITU field balancing? This is the course to attend
where you will learn about theory of balancing and practical hands-on experience using
PRUFTECHNIK instrument and training rig.

Target Participants: Industrial/Mechanical maintenance; technicians or engineers who are

involve and responsible for shaft alignment works in the industry.
Good knowledge/skills/experience on industrial rotating machinery
maintenance is required and previous condition monitoring analysis
experience mandatory (level 1 or similar).

Goal: To understand rotor unbalance and able to rectify it.

similar course).
