INFRASTRUCTURE

Equipments
The Studio is well equipped with mastering grade equipments from the likes of Solid State Logic With
MADI Connections to ensure Pristine signal flow throughout the audio chain
Our outboard gear consists of the X rack from Solid State Logic, having the revered SSLE EQ and
Dynamic section.
Our Mixer section consists of 24 Channel Allen and Heath Analog Console and Yamaha O1/V96
Digital Console.
We have High Fidelity Condenser Mics from Rode and AKG. The studio is also equipped with Drum kit
Mics and legendary dynamic mics like Shure SM58 and SM57.
DJ room is highly equipped with Pioneer CDJ850 and CDJ100S Players with DJM700& Vestax
Mixers.

Facilities
The acoustics of this facility are designed by experienced Industry Professionals to ensure smooth
and even frequency response throughout the control room, which also serves well equipped class
room.
Our Recording room is capable of recording an entire drum kit, string sections, instruments and vocals
and is designed with the best acoustic materials and having a lavish space.
The EMP lab, which is specifically tailored to allow students an uninterrupted practice sessions, is
equipped with the latest Macintosh Computers loaded with Industry Standard Softwares and VST
Instruments. All computers are armed with High Quality Sound Interfaces and Modern MIDI
Controllers to ensure the most Productive Sessions. It is also equipped with a Comprehensive Library
Section to keep the students updated about the latest changes and updates in the subject of Sound.

1> Sound Theory and Acoustics

Students will get a detailed insight into the various aspects of sound. They will get to know about
Acoustic spaces, the Frequency spectrum ,Reverb calculations, Ear training amongst a host of
important theoretical Sound Engineering Topics.
Study of how to Design acoustic spaces, Decibel theory, Room Modes , Room Reverb Calculations will
be covered in this modules.

2> Analog and Digital Mixers and Circuit flow

The complete signal flow of analog and Digital Mixers will be Explained with their circuits , A/D and D/A
conversion Schematics , I/P and O/P signal path , inserts , Auxiliary inputs, Pre fader and Post fader and
the Master section.
Students get to Know About various Analog and Digital Mixers and get Practical knowledge of gain
staging and recording through these devices.

This section gives a complete insight into 2 Industry Standard softwares, Protools and Logic Pro.
Every detail from the setting up your sound card , Track Laying, Editing to the arrangement window is
covered.
We then introduce Various Processors and Filters used to shape your sound .Compressors,
Equalisers, Reverbs and Various Modulation effects are covered in full Detail including their circuit
topology and Functions.
Various Preamps and Amps uses in Professional Recording and Their Circuits are Explained

This Section covers the Detailed Mixing and Mastering Techniques using Industry standard Audio
Plugins and Hardware units from Solid State Logic. Using a Hands on practical Approach, Students are
taught how to shape up a song from scratch and make it a Polished Record.
Detailed concepts of Signal processing , Automation , Side chaining ,Metering , Limiting ,Track Groups ,
Audio Import and Export formats are covered giving the Students a thorough Knowledge of Advanced
Sound Engineering Concepts.

6> Music Theory , Midi Programming and Steinberg Cubase

Basic introduction to concepts of Music with an aim to enable the sound Engineer to communicate more
effectively with Musicians. We also cover various techniques of MIDI Music Production and In Cubase
and Logic Pro. Students are also Taught how to synthesize their own sounds using LFO's ADSR and
other components of Synthesizer.

most renowned Live Reinforcement Engineers in the Country!

8> Post Production, Foley and Sound Design

A Film is Not Complete without its Sound Design. In this module we explore various aspects of sound
design including Foley, FX Laying, Dialogue Dubbing & Matching, ADR takes, Combining dialogues,
FX and Background score together to create the complete sound stage of a film.

1> Introduction to Sound Theory and DAWS:

Students are introduced to the Concepts of Sound Theory.They will be given an understanding of the
Home Studio Setups including selecting the right Equipment.
This Module will also give the students an insight into popular industry standard Music Production
DAW's Logic Pro and Protools.
Module Length: 6 Lectures

· What is Fundamental of Sound? Different Types of Sound Waves in Digital Domain.


· Studio setup and Gear Requirement for Home Studio

2> Synthesis and Vst Instruments:

Students will be introduced to concepts of Sound Synthesis and Music Sound Design by using
various parameters of a synthesizer.
All Leading Vst Instruments and Plugins from Native Instruments will be covered in this Module.

Disc Jockeying
A Disc Jockey(DJ) is a person who mixes recorded music for an audience. Originally, "disc" referred to
phonograph records, not the later compact. Today, the term includes all forms of music playback, no
matter the medium.
The title "DJ" is also commonly used by DJs in front of their real names or adopted pseudonyms as a title
to denote their profession and the music they play.

EXAMINATION DETAILS

PROJECTS
Projects are designed to encourage the spirit of collaboration and also harness individuals talent. The
students are encouraged to use all facilities available and come up with their own materials in terms of
complete mixed and mastered arrangements.This focuses on real time experience for students which
can prepare them for the professional environment.
Assignments are carefully laid out in semesters so that the student's progress is monitored and analyzed
for further scope of improvement.
Project completed by the students are served as show reels for the students which can be really helpful
from a job perspective.

Group project which includes video song which is composed & produced by students.

EXAMS
Examination procedure is an Exhaustive preparation module for the students to monitor their progress
throughout the length of the course.
It consists of internal exams aimed at preparing the students thoroughly for the University Exams as well
as ensuring that their progress is analyzed with careful attention.
The Final University exams are held in an approved center consisting of two papers 100 marks each
across two days.

Joined aditya infotech as a Tech. Product Specialist and was responsible for Demo ,Systems
Engineering and Training of the UMX 96 console and the Ux 8800 digital crossover from EAW.

Overjoy Shimrah has come a long way. In his tender age of thirteen, he had started his guitar
education with stave notation.

Dedicated and passionate about music he pursue on taking music as his career. After mastering
his guitar and completing music theory (Trinity, Music school of England standard), in 2001 at
mumbai he co-founder the rock band called "Channel Rose," being the lead guitarist and the
Music Producer; taking care of all the music composition of the band. Performed in college festival,
clubs and in concerts. In that period he self taught himself and mastered the Digital Audio Work
Station (DAWs) software like Nuendo, Cubase, Reason etc for recording and mixing to express
out his creativity in all front.
In the course of time gradually he venture into music Production, Film Background Scores and in
Film Special Sound Effects. Consequently earned him respect from the people in the Industry and
positive media review in the local entertainment scene. Taking note of the industry demand and to
better equipped himself apart from his solid music background, he did the Diploma of Audio Sound
Engineering.
Being in the local music scene, film background scores and film special effects business he had
also work outstandingly in online outsourcing of international clients in a projects of jingles, short
film background scores, special sound effects, advertisements, mixing, mastering etc.
To sharpen and enhance his skills and creativity as well as to update himself with the international
music trend, he did his Electronic Music Production (EMP) in SAE Bangkok.

Having evolved and mature both in music technical and theory he is now all set for international
music scene in performing and in producing his Music, all ready to unleashed his immense dose of
creativity...

By then, handling the complete show had become a practice with his great interest in his passion
towards audio engineering.

Later looking forward to master in the same field, he chooses to teach concepts of Physics &
Electronics for aspiring sound engineers.

ARJUN ACHAR who has discovered his big love for music and later he started to mix his first
vinyls in 2012, He was inspired by all kinds of music. He showcased his talent behind the turntable
in a local clubs around Bangalore.

In recent months, He has continued his fevered pace that has made him the hardest working guy
in dance music & he is into all kind of Music genres like Progressive, Tech , Techno, Electro,
Trance, Bollywood amongst other.

In a short period he played in most of the place in Bangalore like DUGOUT SPORTS BAR,
CHAIRMANs CLUB ,BLACK JACK, NO LIMMITS ,PLAN B ,XTREME SPORTS BAR , E ZONE ,
TRADERS VICs , MAI-TAI , ITC GARDENIA , SUTRA(THE LALIT ASHOK),SHIMMER( TAJ
