FOLLOWING ISLAM THE RELIGION OF PEACE:

Mankind never pursued or longed for any scientific discoveries or invention. Man tried to establish many
systems where peace can be attained but he failed miserably. In fact man was not even aware of that
peace can be attained by acquiring such measures. Imagining or seeking peace by acquiring material or
establishing societies is a Utopian concept. Since necessity is the mother of all inventions; gradually
mankind discovered, invented and established many things to make his life more comfortable but peace
was still elusive.

Peace is as old as the existence of mankind on earth; attaining peace is an individual’s continuous
journey which does not require accumulation or up gradation of materials. Peace is not a commodity
which can be achieved by scientific discovery nevertheless it is the most important requirement for orderly
behavior or manner. The paradox is that we all have peace within ourselves but we are looking outside
for its establishment. It is a state of mind and soul which can be maintained by following certain formulas
that is within the reach of every human being.

Quran is the guide showing us how to acquire Peace but sadly we are searching outside for its source
thus neglecting the functions of our inner systems working under our own Consciousness.

We cannot achieve peace [ISLAM] unless we understand the things which destroy our peace.

WHY IBRAHIM IS MOST FAVORED AMONG ALL PROPHETS ?

2:124 - And when his Lord tried Ibrahim with certain words, he fulfilled them. He said: Surely I will make
you an Imam of men. Ibrahim said: And of my offspring? My covenant does not include the unjust, said
He.

4:125 - And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and
follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend.

According to traditional translations every prophet was made an Imam [21:73] [32:24]
Why Allah favored Ibrahim and was made an Imam [Leader] “for all mankind” and why was he a
close friend of Allah?

Is Ibrahim the greatest of all prophets ?

Aren’t the above verses contradicting verse 2:285 ?

2:285 - The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the
believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying],
"We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We
seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination."

Is Quran instructing us to follow dead Imams or Messengers? Or should we follow dead Imams ?
17:71- (Remember) the day when We will call every people with their Imam; then whoever is given his
book in his right hand, these shall read their book; and they shall not be dealt with a whit unjustly.
Who are these Imams ?

Who are the messengers going to lead us as our Imam ?

ٍ ‫ص ْينَا ُه ِفي ِإ َم ٍام ُم ِب‬

‫ين‬ َ َ ‫ُب َما َقَ ََّّد ُمْوا َْوآث‬
َ ‫ار ُه ْم َْو ُْك َّل‬
َ ْ‫ش ْي ٍء أح‬ ُ ُ ‫ِإنَّا نَحْ نُ نُحْ ِيي ا ْل َم ْْوَتَى َْونَ ْْكَت‬

36:12 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints,
and We have recorded everything in a clear Imam

Who is this clear Imam [‫ين‬

ٍ ِ‫ ]إِ َم ٍام ُمب‬which the translators have interpreted as clear writing ?

َ ‫ص ُر‬
‫ْون‬ َ ‫َْو َج َع ْلنَا ُه ْم أ َ ِئ َّمةً َي َّْدع‬
َ ‫ُْون ِإلَى النَّ ِار َْو َي ْْو َم ا ْل ِقيَا َم ِة ََل يُن‬
28:41- And We made them Imams who call to the fire, and on the day of resurrection they shall not be
assisted.

Who are these Imams who invite us to fire ?

2:130 And who would be averse to the religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself. And
We had chosen him in this world, and indeed he, in the Hereafter, will be among the righteous.

2:135 They say, "Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided." Say, "Rather, [we follow] the religion of
Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists."

Do we need to follow the religion of Ibrahim ?

16:120 Verily, Ibrahim (Abraham) was an Ummah / a nation, obedient to Allah, Hanifa, and he was not
one of those who were Al-Mushrikoon.

Why Ibrahim was called an Ummah / Nation ?

Why late Ibrahim’s role is so important in our life ?

Think who is Ibrahim ? Why he is so important ?
