ABSTRACT

Flaviviridae. Virus masuk kedalam tubuh melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti.
Tujuandaripenelitianiniuntukmenganalisa data status kerentananAe.Aegyptyterhadap
permukiman Kota Banda Aceh.

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) are caused by dengue virus from family of
Flaviviridae. Viruses penetrated body through Aedes aegypti mosquitoes bite. The purpose of
this study are to measure the data of Ae. aegypti susceptibility status against malathion 0.8%
and cypermethrin of 0.05% and analyze household insecticide application in the village at
Banda Aceh city. Mosquito eggs obtained from ovitrap in 18 villages. It were hatched and
reared untill F2 generations. Susceptibility test with F2 generations used impregnated paper
and susceptibility test kit and household insecticide application used a questionnaire with
interview methode from 180 respondents. 13 of 18 isolates were resistant and 5 isolates were
still tolerant to malathion 0.8% and all of Ae. aegypti isolates were resistant to cypermethrin
0.05%. The using of household insecticides about 98.89% with liquid and aerosol
formulations were 46.63% with frequency of application every day was 83.15% and long of
insecticides application was more than 5 years about 50%. Insecticide susceptibility status
and household insecticides application could be considered in dengue control program
effectively and efficiently.
