351.

OH LORD MY GOD (A)

Oh Lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds
Thy hands have made
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout
The universe displayed

Then sings my soul

My Savior, God, to Thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art

And when I think that God,

His son not sparing,
Sent Him to die,
I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden
gladly bearing He bled and died
to take away my sin

Then sings my soul

My Savior, God, to Thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art

When Christ shall come

With shout of acclamation
And take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow
With humble adoration
And there proclaim My God
How great Thou art

Then sings my soul

My Savior, God, to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art

352. O LORD YOUR TENDERNESS (D)

O Lord Your Tenderness,
Is melting all my bitterness,
O Lord, I receive Your love.
O Lord, Your loveliness,
Changing all my ugliness,
O Lord, I receive Your love.
O Lord, I receive Your love,
O Lord, I receive Your love.

353. O LORD ALL THE WORLD (G)

O Lord, all the world belongs to You
and You are always making all things new.
What is wrong, You forgive,
and the new life You give
is whats turning the world upside down.

The worlds only loving to its friends,

but Your way of loving never ends,
loving enemies too;
and this loving with You
is whats turning the world upside down.

The world lives divided and apart,

You draw men together, and we start
in our friendship to see
that in harmony we
can be turning the world upside down.

The world wants the wealth to live in state,

but You show a new way to be great:
like a servant You came,
and if we do the same,
well be turning the world upside down.

O Lord, all the world belongs to You

and You are always making all things new.
What is wrong, You forgive,
and the new life You give
is whats turning the world upside down.

354. O LORD I'M NOT WORTHY (F)

O Lord , Im not worthy
Yet you come to live in me.
So speak your word of comfort,
By your touch strengthen and heal me.

Take this and eat my body.

And drink my saving blood,
Poured out for your redemption;
A symbol of my love.

Called to be Gods new people,

Made one in Christ the Lord,
Let us with hearts united
Bear witness of your love.

Onward through life we journey

As seekers of the truth
Building each day a new world
Of justice, peace and love
355. O MOTHER I COULD WEEP (G)
O Mother! I could weep for mirth,
Joy fills my heart so fast;
My soul today is heaven on earth,
Oh could the transport last!

I think of thee, and what thou art,

Thy majesty, thy state;
And I keep singing in my heart
Immaculate! Immaculate!

When Jesus looks upon thy face,

His heart with rapture glows,
And in the Church, by his sweet grace,
Thy blessd worship grows.

356. O PERFECT LOVE (D)

O perfect Love, all human thought transcending,
lowly we kneel in prayer before thy throne,
that theirs may be a love which knows no ending,
whom thou forever more dost join in one.

O perfect Life, be thou their full assurance

of tender charity and steadfast faith,
of patient hope and quiet, brave endurance,
with childlike trust that fears no pain or death.

Grant them the joy which brightens earthly sorrow;

grant them the peace which calms all earthly strife;
And to life's day the glorious unknown morrow
That dawns upon eternal love and life

357. O QUEEN OF THE HOLY ROSARY (A)

O Queen of the Holy Rosary
O bless us as we pray,
And offer thee our roses
In garlands day by day,
While from our Father's garden,
With loving hearts and bold,
We gather to thine honor
Buds white and red and gold.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary,

Each myst'ry blends with Thee
The sacred life of Jesus
In ev'ry step divine.
Thy soul was His fair garden,
Thy virgin breast His throne,
Thy thoughts His faithful mirror,
Reflecting Him above.

358. O SALUTARIS (F)

O Salutaris Hostia
Quae caeli pandis ostium:
Bella premunt hostilia,
Da robur, fer auxilium.

Uni trinoque Domino

Sit sempiterna gloria,
Qui vitam sine termino
Nobis donet in patria.
Amen.

359. O TAKE ME TO THY SACRED HEART (F)

O take me to Thy Sacred Heart,
and seal the entrance oe'r,
That from that Home my wayward soul
may never wander more
O Jesus' Heart! meek, patient, kind
my soul to Thee I turn
Thou wilt not crush the bruised reed
The sorrowing spirit spurn

O Mary, by the priceless love

which Jesus' Heart bore thee;
Pray that my home in life and death,
That loving Heart may be.
O Jesus, open wide Thy Heart,
and let me rest therein;
For weary is my stricken soul
of sorrow and sin.

I've sought for rest, and found it not

In things of earthly mould
One heart alone is worth my love
That heart alone is worth my love
That heart that grows not cold
Yes, Jesus, take me to Thyself
I'm weary waiting here
I long to lean upon Thy breast
To see to feel Thee near

360. O WHAT A GLORIOUS GOD (E)

O, what a glorious God
O, what a powerful Savior
All creation cries out around you
Holy is the Lord.
O what a glorious God
O what a powerful savior
Mercy grace and goodness
Surround you
O what a glorious God
O what a glorious God

You speak with a voice

Like a clashing cymbal
O what a glorious God
You stretch forth your hand
And the whole world trembles
O what a glorious God.

You rose from the dead

To redeem your people
O what a glorious God.
You give us your strength
And we soar like eagles
O what a glorious God.
361. O WHAT A WONDERFUL (D)
O what a wonderful, wonderful day,
day I will never forget;
After I'd wandered in darkness away,
Jesus my Savior I met.
O what a tender, compassionate friend,
He met the need of my heart;
Shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling,
He made all the darkness depart.

Heaven came down and glory filled my soul,

When at the cross, the Savior made me whole;
My sins were washed away and my night was turned to day,
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul!

362. O HOLY NIGHT (C)

O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices

For yonder breaks a new glorious morn
Fall on your knees
O hear the angels' voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night divine o night
O night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming

With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend

Truly He taught us to love one another

His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name

363. OH I LOVE THAT MAN OF GALILEE (F)

Oh I love that man of Galilee, Galilee
For He's done so very much for me
He has taken all my sins,
Placed the Holy Ghost within
Oh I love that man of Galilee!

Down on my knees, I found my Saviour

Down on my knees, I found the Lord
Not on a mountain, or in a valley
But on my knees, I found the Lord.

364. O THE WORD OF MY LORD (D)

O the word of my Lord
Deep within my being,
Oh the word of my Lord,
You have filled my mind.

Before I formed you in the womb

I knew you through and through,
I chose you to be mine.
Before you left your mothers side
I called to you, my child, to be my sign.

I know that you are very young,

But I will make you strong
Ill fill you with my word;
And you will travel through the land,
Fulfilling my command Which you have heard.

And everywhere you are to go

My hand will follow you;
You will not be alone.
In all the danger that you fear
Youll find me very near,
Your words my own

With all My strength you will be filled

You will destroy and build, for that is My design
You will create and overthrow
Reap harvests I will sow; your word is Mine

365. ON A HILL FAR AWAY (B^b)

On a hill far away
Stood an old rugged Cross
The emblem of suff'ring and shame
And I love that old Cross
where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain

So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross

Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

Oh, that old rugged Cross

so despised by the world
Has a wondrous attraction for me
For the dear Lamb of God,
left his Glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary

In the old rugged Cross,

stain'd with blood so divine
A wondrous beauty I see
For 'twas on that old cross
Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctify me

To the old rugged Cross,

I will ever be true
Its shame and reproach gladly bear
Then He'll call me some day
to my home far away
Where his glory forever I'll share

366. ON EAGLES WINGS Ps 91 (D)

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord
Who abide in His shadow for life
Say to the Lord
"My refuge, my rock in whom I trust!"

And He will raise you up on eagles' wings

Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand.

You need not fear the terror of the night

Nor the arrow that flies by day
Under His wings your refuge
His faithfulness your shield.

For to His angels He's given a command

To guard you in all of your ways
Upon their hands they will bear you up
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

And hold you....

And hold you....
And hold you, hold you in the palm of His hand

367. ON THE PATEN (F)

On the paten with the Host
I offer up my lowly heart:
All my life, my deeds, my thoughts
Thine shall be as mine Thou art.

In the chalice let me be

A drop of water mingled there.
Lost O Jesus in Thy Love
Thy great sacrifice I share.

All today and ev'ry day

O Jesus let me live in thee,
So that I no longer live
But that thou may'st live through me.

368. ON THIS DAY O BEAUTIFUL MOTHER(C)

On this day, O beautiful Mother,
On this day we give thee our love.
Near the, Madonna, fondly we hover,
Trusting thy gentle care to prove.

On this day we ask to share,

Dearest Mother, thy sweet care;
Aid us ere our feet astray
Waner from thy guiding way.

369. ON THIS DAY OF JOY (A)

On this day of joy, on this day of hope
We come to you in Love, O Lord
On this day of joy, on this day of hope
We come to you in Love
With this bread and wine, we come
To this Eucharistic feast
On this day of joy on this day of hope
We come to you in love.

Bread to be your body Lord

Wine to be your saving blood
On this day of joy, on this day of hope
We come to you in love.

370. ON THIS SHRINE YOUR BLESSING (D)

On this shrine your blessing, Lord.
On this shrine your grace bestow.
On this shrine your blessing, Lord.
May it come and never go.
Bringing peace and joy and happiness,
bringing love that knows no end.
On this shrine your blessing, Lord.
On this shrine your blessing send

On this shrine your loving, Lord.

May it overflow each day.
On this shrine your loving, Lord.
May it come and with us stay.
Drawing us in love and unity
by the love received from you.
On this shrine your loving, Lord.
May it come each day anew.

On this shrine your giving, Lord,

May it turn and ever flow.
On this shrine your giving, Lord,
On this shrine your wealth bestow.
Filling all our hopes and wishes, Lord,
In the way you know is best.
On this shrine your giving, Lord,
May it come and with us rest.
