REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRANCE EXAM

1. Official Transcript of Records (TOR)

For Graduating Students – Certificate of Candidacy for Graduation
2. Two Certificates of Good Moral Character (and photocopy of each):
-from any of the following: Dean, Prefect of Students, guidance counselor and
supervisor/HR Manager of company working for
Note: If there is only one office from your school which is authorized to issue Good Moral
Certificate, request a recommendation letter from your professor.
3. Printed online application form with a 2x2 photo. Link to the Online Application Form:

4. Photocopy of Philippines Statistics Authority(PSA) Birth Certificate
5. Three (3) pcs. of 2x2 photos –white background (with full name in front)
6. Application and testing fee of P 1,300.00

UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS FACULTY OF CIVIL LAW

The applicant must submit, for purposes of the entrance examination, the following
documents:
1. College Transcript of Scholastic Records (If the applicant is graduating in the current year,
she/he must submit an official copy of the temporary transcript of records containing the grades
from first year to the first semester of the last year in college prior to graduation;
2. Two (2) 2 x 2 colored ID photos;
3. One (1) Certificate of Good Moral Character embossed with the school seal: a. UST graduates
may secure the certificate from the Office for Student Affairs (OSA); b. Non-UST graduates may
secure the certificate from the Guidance Office, its equivalent or Dean of the school they
previously attended; c. Applicants who are working must submit an additional Certificate of Good
Moral Character issued by the current employer.
4. Payment of Application and Examination Fee; and
5. Duly accomplished application forms. The forms will be issued by the Dean’s Office only upon
submission of all requirements. The requirements must be submitted at least one (1) week before
the examination day.

Requirements Check List for Local Applicants

1. Application Form with passport size photo (3.5cm X 4.5cm) with white background. Click here to access

2. Two (2) pcs of recent & identical passport size (3.5cm X 4.5cm) ID pictures with white background for
the Exam Permit
3. Original Copy of Transcript of Records (for those who studied in the Philippines) or Philippine Embassy
authenticated original copies of Transcript of Records (for those who studied outside the Philippines).

4. Original NSO Birth Certificate issued within the last five years (or any valid substitute)
5. Photocopy of Diploma or Original Copy of Certificate of Graduation indicating name of degree and date
of graduation (for applicants who earned a college or postgraduate degree outside the Philippines.
6. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (pdf/101kb). An employed applicant may secure a letter of
recommendation from his/her current employer, immediate head or his/her own respective Human
Resource Department or its equivalent. Letters of Recommendation may also be obtained from
former/current advisers or professors.
7. Personal Statement Containing Academic and Career Objectives (pdf/12kb)
ATENEO LAW SCHOOL

 The applicant must accomplish the application form online.

 He/she should pass the school’s entrance examination. For admission to the examination,
the following must be submitted.
 photocopy of collegiate transcript or records showing compliance with eligibility
requirements stated above. If graduation is not yet reflected, a certification of
candidacy for graduation prior to entrance in the law course must be appended to
transcript.
 3 copies of I.D. picture, size 2″ x 2″ with red background
 payment of testing fee of PhP2,000.00
 He/she must submit two recommendations: one academic recommendation from the dean
or faculty member of his/her school, and one recommendation from a reputable source.

UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES COLLEGE OF LAW

An applicant seeking to register for the LAE must submit the following to the Office of the College Secretary, 1st
Floor, U.P. College of Law, Malcolm Hall, Diliman, Quezon City not later than 10 February 2017 (without fine)
or 17 February 2017 (with fine):
1. A duly accomplished REGISTRATION FORM.
2. Proof of payment of TESTING FEE. For early registrants, the testing fee is P1,500.00; for late registrants,
P2,000.00. Applicants with annual gross family income of P130,000.00 or less are exempted from payment of
the testing fee (submit latest original or duly certified Income Tax Return or a BIR certification that the taxpayer
is exempted from filing a Return). Postal Money order must be payable to the U.P. College of Law (for Regional
applicant only). Company and Personal checks are not accepted. The testing fee is non-refundable.
3. Proof of graduation or senior standing. For a holder of a bachelor’s degree, he or she must submit an
OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS (OTR) AND his/her GENERAL WEIGHTED AVERAGE as
computed and certified by his/her school’s registrar. For a candidate for graduation of a bachelor’s degree, he or
she must submit a CERTIFICATION from the Registrar of the school where the applicant is enrolled that he/she
is a candidate for graduation for the current school year together with a certified current/up to date OTR AND
GENERAL WEIGHTED AVERAGE and a copy of the CURRICULUM of the course he/she is graduating in.
(N.B. For enrollment in the U.P. College of Law, a successful applicant must already be a baccalaureate degree
holder.)
4. For applicants who are currently enrolled in another law school, a CERTIFICATION OF GOOD STANDING
and OTR. The said certification must include the fact that the applicant is not disqualified by any reason to re-
enroll in the said school the next school year.
5. Three (3) identical passport size recent photos (White Background).
6. Other requirements as may be imposed by the Admissions Committee.
