1. Concrete nouns refers to objects , matter, people and animals that are present physically. They can be
touched and felt. There are two types of concrete nouns , namely common nouns and proper nouns.

a. Common nouns are general names given to living and non-living things. The words are writen in small
letters.

example : boy, cat, chalk, book

b. Proper nouns are specific names given individual people,places, object, days, and months of the year.
They begin with capital letters.

example : Hamdan, Kuala Lumpur, Nasi Kandar Restaurant, Monday, June

2. Abstract nouns refers to situations, feelings , ideas, and qualities. Unlike concrete nouns, abstract
nouns cannot be touched as they cannot be seen physically. Our five stanzas are abstract nouns. It can
be formed from other parts of pitch.

a. Situation : explenation, hunger

b. Feeling : Happiness, border

c. Ideas : childhood, freedom

d. Qualities : friendly, kindness, uniqueness
