and 2000 while the newspaper excerpt shows the Minister of Environment’s message

which drastically lost its popularity. Bicycle was the most popular in 1950 with 40% users but
dipped to 3% in 2000.
On the other hand, a new mode of transportation, train is becoming more popular. It
was non-existent in 1950, but gained 2.5% users in 1975 before it accelerated to 15% in 2000.
It jumped 600% from the previous years. Motorbike, another mode of transportation which
was non-existent in 1950, gained its popularity in 1975 with 10% users. However, this was
only momentary. It contracted to 4% in 2000 which translated to 60% decrease. Train, on the
other hand, showed 8% increase. It recorded 2% in 1975 but increased to 10% in 2000.
