Rutland High School

Credit Repair: 2017-2018

Dear Parents,

This year, students are provided the opportunity to repair credit for courses they failed first semester with a 64-68. Through
these online courses, students will repair courses for content which was originally delivered in the classroom face to face.
Students will be expected to complete a minimum of 10 hours of online coursework, under staff supervision and with a passing
grade, in order to repair their credit. A student who meets the expectations for credit repair, will receive a 70 for their course.
Eligible students and cost is as follows:

Seniors (12th graders) ELA, Math, Science, Social Free (Paid for by GEAR UP)
Studies (in which they earned a
64 – 68)
Underclassmen (9 -11th graders) Math (in which they earned a $50.00 (no refunds for
64 – 68) incomplete work)

The following timeline will apply:

January 4 – 11: Students sign up for Credit Repair

January 11: Applications and payment deadline

January 12: Students will be notified of their acceptance and of their room assignment for Credit Repair

January 16, 17, 18, 22, 23 (3:00pm-5:00pm): Students will work in their designated room assignment on their course

*If the student does not attend all 5 days (from 3:00pm-5:00pm in their assigned computer lab), does not complete the
coursework, AND does not pass, the student will not receive the repair grade of a 70 and no refunds will be given!

* Students must complete the 10 coursework at school during the designated time, not at home.

* Student is responsible for their own transportation.


Rutland High School

The following are rules and expectations for any student enrolled in an Edgenuity course:
1. Students must attend all 5 days from 3:00pm-5:00pm in designated computer lab (on campus)
2. Students must arrive by 3:00pm in order to begin working and must stay until 5:00pm (students arriving late will not be
allowed to enter the lab and work and therefor will not be able to complete repair of their credit)
3. No food or drink is allowed in the labs while students are working.
4. Access to internet sites other than those associated with Edgenuity are not allowed. Students are not allowed to surf the
internet. Students will be disciplined according to steps listed below.
5. Students who are disruptive and/or keeping others from working will be disciplined according to the steps below.
6. Students will not be allowed to listen to music, in any form, while working on their courses.
7. NO cell phones will be allowed to be out during the time students are working. Students will be disciplined, see below.

Discipline Steps:
1st warning - verbal, speak with student
2nd warning - same as 1st warning, and reminder they will be dismissed on the 3rd warning
3rd warning - student will be dismissed from credit repair
