Usage of Test Kits – Do’s & Don’ts

Dos:-

 You should have the DC and Calibration Certificate (Both Soft and Hard Copies)
 First You Connect Earth with 2.5 Sqmm Green cable, with Proper lugs.(no
Tolerance)
 You should use either AVR or UPS
 Before departure to site check all cables and loop cables
 You should have 6 No’s of banana pin and 4 no’s of crocodile pins additionally
 Give the identification to all cables such as R-phase-Phase-Phase (all should Follow
the same)
 Use updated software for communicate with kit.
 Use Proper Recommended cables
 After completion of test wind all cables properly

Don'ts:

 Should not remove Earth while testing.


 Should not use kit when neutral to ground voltage more than 3V.
 Should not use kits in DG supply (Frequency Not Constant).
 Don’t OFF kit while Testing.
 Don’t Frequently ON and OFF the Kit, It will Affect The Power module
 Don’t keep the test kit on grounds, you should keep kit on box only
 Don’t use normal cables for feedback
 Don’t use kits in dust area
 Don’t use kits in sun light
 Don’t use laptop without battery power backup for communication (it
 may be corrupt the software)
 Don’t overload the kits
 Don’t keep open CT connections
 Don’t shot VT
 Should not repair anything without company knowledge
