Data Assistant (TB)

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Data Assistant (TB) for our malaria, basic health care and
TB project in the remote areas of Loikaw (Kayah).

Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) is a medical aid organization, whose mission it is to improve access to quality
health care in Myanmar. MAM aims to provide large-scale access to prevention, diagnosis & treatment of HIV,
malaria, Basic Health Care (BHC) and tuberculosis. We support 10 HIV clinics and a large number of Village
Health Workers (VHW) who are volunteers trained in rapid diagnostic testing and supplied with diagnostics
and treatments. A basic health care package is provided to deal with the most common BHC diseases,
including a referral system for complicated cases. Furthermore a TB Active Case Finding component is
offered including screening and referrals of suspected TB cases and treatment follow-up of confirmed TB
cases. MAM employees over 550 staff in Myanmar.

Description of the vacant position;

Under the supervision and guidance of Medical Doctor (Team Leader), Data Assistant is responsible to data
management and reporting.

Main responsibility

Key Objectives and Responsibilities in general;

 Take main responsibility for daily recording of mobile team TB screening activities
 Register patients’ particulars during mobile team visits and recording formats
 Combine stock reports, consumption reports, patient registers, X ray registers and computerized
recording
 Combine monthly and activity completion data in timely manner
 Assist to Medical Doctor(Team Leader) for reporting and recording
 Follow HR rules and regulations of NTP with the direct supervision of TB RO/TL
 Staff may entitle to get other benefits from respective/hiring organization (eg. Health benefit)
 Assist Medical Doctor (Team Leader) for management of drug supplies and treatment provision
 Assist Medical Doctor (Team Leader) for reporting and recording
 Staff may entitle to get other benefits from respective/hiring organization (eg. Health benefit)
(Salary 250 USD/Month + Travel allowance)

Requirements

 Education - Any Degree Holder with computer skills and IT will be an asset

  Experience- at least 1 year experience in data entry, clerical or secretarial position with exposure to
data and information collection and data entry, data combination and data verification
 Must have good computer skills in MS office
 Ability to work systematically, accurately, independently and under pressure
 Able to travel to field (Project Areas)
