1. Securely bolted in either Open

or Closed position.

2. Each Foot bracket requires only

one mounting bolt for conveyors
up to 36" wide and two bolts for
42" through 72" wide belts.

Hoods are designed to protect the belt, material and
idlers from the weather.
Often times it is necessary and most always desirable to keep the conveyor
material from being windblown and exposed to moisture.
Stephens-Adamson Standard Style “A-1” Belt Conveyor Hoods cover and
protect not only the material but the belt and idlers as well.
This enclosure also protects the belt from being dried out by the sun and
prevents idler rollers and belt from freezing which could lead to costly start-up
problems.

Cover sections are supported on bands of heavier gauge

steel or aluminum, easily opened and closed by one man.
The support bands bolt directly to the foot brackets,
which are then, bolted to the top of channel stringers or
top chords of truss frames. This simple design lowers
the cost and time of field erection.

Stephens-Adamson Standard Style “A-1” Belt Conveyor

Hoods consist of cover sections supported on bands
spaced at 4'- 0" centers.
Total length of hoods required should be in 4'- 0" multiples.
If total required length is not exactly in 4'- 0" spacing, one cover section can
be cut in field to suit and be secured to the support band by field drilling for
self-tapping screws.

Simple Design.
Galvanized Steel Hoods are supported by heavy gauge support bands that are
attached to the stringers with 3/16" steel foot brackets.
