mechanics of sex and the avoidance of disease and pregnancy.
These courses reduce the meaning of sex to a how-to manual. Many students even say the programs make them feel pressured
into having sex. In one study, teens reported that they felt more pressure from their sex education classes than from their girl-
friends or boyfriends.
Other segments of adult culture are complicit in sexualizing children at ever-younger ages. Dolls for little girls have morphed
into “tramps” wearing fishnet stockings and red-hot lingerie. Corporations produce slut-style fashions all the way down to
infant clothing that says “I’m Too Sexy for My Diaper.” Advertisers use sex to sell, filmmakers use sex to entice viewers,
musicians film raunchy videos. This outlook is deeply dehumanizing. No wonder many people keep grabbing at more – and
more extreme – sexual experiences, while finding less genuine fulfillment. And no wonder those with power feel entitled to
use other people for their own gratification. Sexual exploitation is unlikely to stop with drug-and-sex parties in Silicon Valley
– unless we are ready to rethink fundamental convictions.

crowned queen. It was a

King of England? Will it
be Prince Charles or
Prince William? One

that the King of England
is the throne of King David.
Once in heaven, saints will receive earned
crowns. We will be judged not for salvation,
but for motives and efforts. Salvation is
already ours. The crowns are cast at the feet
of Jesus.
Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders
fall down before him that liveth for ever and
ever, and cast their crowns before the throne,
saying.... I count six crowns in the Bible.
The first crown is for righteousness. We
have no righteousness of our own. A saint
must stay in right relationship with Jesus to
receive the spirit of righteousness. This is
holiness. Holiness enables a saint to disperse
justice and goodness.
2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up
for me a crown of righteousness, which the
Lord, the righteous judge shall give me that
day: and not to me only, but unto all them
also that love his appearing.
The second crown is for self control or
temperance. I am like Esau with placing too
much value on food. This crown will
probably not be awarded to me. I do fast
sometimes with oranges and peanuts.

crown, but we an incorruptible.
During this era, the Roman Olympic winners

The third crown is for rejoicing at the sight
of Jesus. A saint must not be caught in
shameful behavior.

at his coming?
The forth crown is for resisting temptation.
We must stay steadfast in our walk with
Jesus.

will receive the crown of life which the Lord
hath promised to them that love him.
The fifth crown is the crown for being used
by God. His glory shines through the saint.
This is the crown of glory.
1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd
shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of
glory that fadeth not away.
The sixth crown is also the crown of life. A
saint that is killed for standing for Jesus is
awarded this crown. It is the martyr's crown.

FLORIDA HEALTH IN WALTON ENCOURAGES REGULAR
SCREENING FOR CERVICAL CANCER PREVENTION
January is Cervical Health Awareness Month and Florida Health in Walton encourages women to visit
their health care provider to be screened for cervical cancer and learn more about preventing cervical
cancer through lifestyle change and vaccination. Call (850) 892-8015 for an appointment or call your
health care provider.
As of 2015, cervical cancer, or cancer starting in the cervix, is the 15th leading cause of cancer deaths
among women in Florida. Nearly all cervical cancers are caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). HPV
is a common virus that is passed from one person to another during sexual activity. According to the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), cervical cancer is the easiest gynecologic cancer to
prevent, with regular screening tests and follow-up.
According to CDC, to reduce risk or prevent cervical cancer women should:
· Get the HPV vaccine between ages 9 and 26;
· See their health care provider regularly for a Pap test between ages 21 and 65;
· Not smoke; and
· Limit the number of sexual partners.
Completing the three dose HPV vaccination series can help prevent multiple cancers, including cervical
cancer and cancer of the mouth and throat. The department’s Immunization Section provides
vaccinations for HPV through several programs.
Two screening tests can help prevent cervical cancer or find it early:
· The Pap test (or Pap smear) looks for precancers, cell changes on the cervix that might become
cervical cancer if they are not treated appropriately.
· The HPV test looks for the virus that can cause these cell changes.
Talk to your health care provider about when a Pap test is most appropriate for you. Tests for specific
HPV strains can support earlier diagnosis of cervical cancer. Women ages 50-64, who are uninsured and
are at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level can receive Pap tests through the department’s

Alabama man accused
of sexually molesting
horse
An Alabama man has been
accused of repeatedly sexually
molesting a horse after its owner
believes she found evidence of his
crimes left behind in a barn stall.
The owner of the animal, a 20-
year-old steed named Polly,
found Bennett in the barn after
her dogs’ barking led her to the
scene. Owner Francine Janes and
her husband, who was armed with
a gun, reportedly found Bennett
hiding in a barn stall. Upon being
found, Janes said he told her that

“I’m excited for an opportunity to represent Seaside
and Walton County in New York City,” says Chef
Shirley. “It’s a privilege to be asked back to cook
there again. I think our menu is a exciting representa-
tion of Northwest Florida.”
During the seated, five course meal entitled with wine
pairings for each course, guests will also have the
unique opportunity to meet Chef Shirley and his team
and ask questions about the dishes they have eaten.
The menu is reflective of North Florida attitude,
culinary innovation, and an agricultural edge which
includes dishes from smoked snapper throat gougères
to a Walton pecan baklava.
The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate,
nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making
America's food culture more delicious, diverse, and
sustainable for everyone. The Foundation also main-
tains the historic James Beard House in New York
City’s Greenwich Village as a “performance space”
for visiting chefs. Guest chefs are selected through the
Foundation’s director of house programming who
actively seeks noteworthy talent as evidenced by
national or regional reputation, use of high quality,
seasonal, and/or local ingredients, and other various
sources.

at 7:00 PM at The Beard House. Member Price: $135
