What is Lean Six Sigma
- Lean Six Sigma is a standard, structured, disciplined and data driven approach which
helps the organization to make fact based decisions in all the critical pain areas of the
organization. It is non-industry specific approach focusing on structured problem
solving and building a culture of process excellence to achieve the organizational
objective of operational transformation.

- LSS is a management philosophy that seeks to drive a quality culture change through
a multi-level based program.

Job Outlook for Six Sigma Professionals
• Six Sigma professionals continue to be in demand, as companies worldwide seek to cut costs and improve processes and
decrease waste. Countless employers see hiring Six Sigma's as an investment that offers a high return—because they know
how to achieve more using fewer resources.
Potential salary
• According to data published in May 2015 on national salary survey website, Salary.com, the median annual salary for Six
Sigma Black Belts in the United States was $98,495. The middle 50% earned between $90,806 and $106,814, on average. The
lowest 10% earned below $83,805, while the top 10% of earners in this category brought home upwards of
$114,388. Glassdoor.com lists the Six Sigma Black Belt professional salary at $87,450.
• Salary.com also published data on top Six Sigma executive salaries. The median annual salary for this group, with at least 15
years of experience in the field, was $177,414. The middle 50% earned between $143,497 and $225,629, while the lowest
10% earned around $112,617 annually. The top 10% of earners in this category netted salaries above $269,526.

initiatives, and directing teams to achieve desired results using Six Sigma methodologies.
