What we are learning: 2/2 Marbles Museum
We have began reading different types of folktales and using Somebody, Wanted, But, So, Then as a way to
retell the story and help us understand the moral of each story. We will also be using this skill to compare
two different versions of the same fable or folktale. In grammar we have been reviewing the spelling rules
of plural nouns. We have also begin learning about using pronouns to replace a common or proper noun in a
sentence. In writing we will strengthen our skills as authors with a focus on a strong topic sentence, using
transitional words to tell the sequence of steps, and a closing statement. In Math we will be reviewing 2 and
3 digit subtraction with and without regrouping and regrouping across a zero. In social Studies we will learn
about the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and will begin learning about Chinese New
Year. In science we have FINALLY started our unit on space.
