Uninorte​ ​should​ ​be​ ​turned​ ​to​ ​a​ ​green​ ​campus?

Uninorte can not be turned to a green campus because animals and plants can affect the
student's life. First animals can attack people because this animals are wild and can see
students or also people in the university as their food, or things to play. Also animals could
produce illnesses or allergies that can cause many diseases to humans or even the death.
The space interruption is another problem because some of this animal's stay in study
places or food places for students and that can be disgusting. Second much plants can
affect the university budget, the maintenance of this plants are expensive, the price of have
more people to care the plants and also special equipment to allow this new “green
campus”. Some plants and animals are poisonous, if people not are informed about the risk
of touching or sniff some plants or animals they can probably die or have terrible health
consequences. If the university put much trees or plants can have many problems like: the
roads to students to go to their classes or the places to students to study or socialize can
decrease. Also insects can increase and produce more expenses of fumigation because
them​ ​have​ ​virus​ ​that​ ​can​ ​produce​ ​bad​ ​consequences​ ​in​ ​people​ ​health.

When it hink about green campus is inevitable do not think in renewable energy. The most
popular about this, is the solar energy. The solar energy presents some inconvenients, one
of these is the dependence of the sun radiation, which varies ​throughout the year, so that the
amount of energy given is not constant. Also install solar panels requires the provision of
large spaces of land to provide enough energy, and maintenance. And contrary to what
many people think, solar panels could cause an environmental impact because they are
manufactured witch materials that must be treated as hazardous waste at the end of their
useful life (silicon, lead ...). All of that without mention the high cost that have implement this
type of alternative energy and the maintenance. Other types of renewable energy have
problems​ ​in​ ​common​ ​like​ ​eolic​ ​energy,​ ​which​ ​also​ ​need​ ​a​ ​big​ ​initial​ ​investment.

Uninorte can’t be turned to a green campus because animals and plants can affect the
space, produce illnesses, attack people, and more consequences for people life in the
university. Uninorte is a place to study not a zoo or natural reserve, exist specific places to
apply this new but expensive idea called “green campus”. On the other hand to opt for the
renewable energies represent a huge spent of time and money, and the materials of the
necessaries equipments to take advantages of these energies can also ​cause long-term
pollution. ​For all this reason uninorte can’t be turned to a green campus is a idea that can
have​ ​many​ ​economic​ ​and​ ​health​ ​problems​ ​for​ ​the​ ​uninorte​ ​and​ ​the​ ​students.
