Read the text and answer the following questions.

Everyone has two sets of teeth in a life time. The first set grows when you are a baby and it
is known as the milk teeth. This set of teeth will drop by the time you are seven years old. The set of
milk teeth is soon replaced by a second set of teeth. This set of permanent teeth should last you for
the rest of your life.

Many studies that have been carried out always indicate that children suffer from tooth
problems more than adults do. Therefore, the young should know how to take care of their teeth so
that they will up with less dental and gum problems.

When brushing your teeth, please make sure that you follow these steps :

1. Use a suitable toothbrush and a good toothpaste.

2. Gently brush your teeth and gums with short circular strokes.
3. Brush your teeth on the outer, inner and chewing areas.
4. Brush your teeth after meals or at least twice a day. (in the morning and before bedtime)
5. Avoid eating in-between meals.
6. Eat a well-balanced nutritious diet – like taking a lot of calcium.
7. Avoid sweet and sticky food contained in carbohydrates.
8. Floss your teeth regularly.
9. Visit the dentist once every six months.

If you are doing all these things, then you are sure to have good, strong and healthy teeth.
Remember that the more you take care of your teeth, the less dental problems you’ll have.
