We are beginning on a project regarding physical and human geography. We will


be looking at the physical and human features of Mozambique. Remember,

 Physical geography looks at the natural processes of the Earth and describes
the natural environment
 Human geography looks at and describes the impact and behavior or
people and how they relate to the physical world.

For this project, you will be placed into two groups.

 The first group is your research group. You are a part of the
research group, which is researching the following:
o Physical geography:
o Human geography:
 The second group is your presentation group. You are a part of group number
.

It is your job to work with your research group to come up with a few examples and
explanations of your assigned aspect of physical and human geography.

It is then your job to work with your presentation group to make a poster including
each aspect of the physical and human geography of Mozambique. Each group
member should contribute equally and should also be prepared to share his or her
research in an oral presentation to the class.

Here is the time-frame for this project:

 Monday, 10 July – explain project, begin working with research group


 Thursday, 13 July – finish research with group, begin working with presentation
group
 Monday, 17 July – create poster and presentation with presentation group
 Thursday, 20 July – in-class presentations

You will be responsible for doing some research outside of class. Please factor this
into the time spent planning with your group.
