Objectives: Content Students will learn about Native American history and culture.
Objective(s)

Functional SWBAT listen to the story read aloud. They will then discuss

Procedures 1. Teacher will review Native American vocabulary and key words with the

5. Students will engage in small group work using handouts with pictures
and vocabulary based on the story. They will identify corresponding
items/customs between the two cultures. Half of the groups will be given
one worksheet, and half will be given a second.
6. Students will report their answers to the class (as the teacher calls on
each group). They will demonstrate their understanding of the new
material by verbalizing the key words and/or pairing them accordingly
with words describing their own culture.
