To recover the wanted material as pure as possible.the example of the mixtures is petroleum.

Distilation is one of the method for separating mixtures by heating.some of the ingredient

will evaporate faster than others and this properties can be used to do separation.

The mixture is heated until it vaporizes,then condensed back to liquid .two liquid is separated
easily by distilation if the material have different boiling point,This separation is called binary
distilation.
