Attention to Detail

The Legal Aid Members exhibited attention to detail mainly in two aspects.
First, during their planning stage before the hearing of the case, the members laid out their
plan of approach on what motions and counter-arguments they would use against the opposing
party. The members went through the details and information essential to the case they are
handling, correlating it with the applicable provisions of the law to support the cause of their client.
Furthermore, the members practiced the sequence and reasonable circumstances which may
arise during the trial so that they can respond effectively and efficiently.
Lastly, the Legal Aid members, after the hearing of the case, went and talked to their
clients and explained in detail the circumstances of the case. The members diligently explained
one by one what their plans are going forward to resolve the case. Even if their client has a strong
case and a winning judgment is obtainable, the members respectfully relay the fact that the
chance of winning is not a hundred percent. There is a possibility that they may lose depending
on the sound judgment and evidentiary claims of the other party. Furthermore, the members also
analyzed important documents given by the client as in the case of the information obtained from
the fiscal handling the case of which the members instructed the client to seek further assistance
from the fiscal.
The members exhibited respect and diligence in their approach towards their client whom
we feel trust and believes in their capabilities even if they are still law students and not full-fledged
lawyers. Notwithstanding that fact, the members of the Legal Aid are giving their best to defend
their clients cause as this serves as a training for them when they become lawyers in the future.
