Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
By the end of the lesson, students will learn at least 5 verbs that are related to the touristic places in Turkey
by looking at the concept map.
By the end of the lesson, students will describe their experience according to the Prezi slides in at least one
sentence.
They will write sentences by relating each verb and cities which were shown in the previous presentation that
is available on the concept map.

1) The teacher shows the Prezi slides and wants them to talk about their tourism experience in Turkey.
2) Showing 8th grade students the concept map.
3) The teacher reminds the places that were shown in the presentation.
4) The teacher distributes blank papers and rubrics to all classroom.
5) The teacher makes a sentence as an example by using the verbs and cities from the concept map.
6) Teacher asks students to write a paragraph in 80-90 words by using each verb and each city from
the concept map about what they have learnt and their experiences.
7) At the end of the given time for the activity the teacher asks for the students to share their
sentences.
8) Teacher does not give homework because she knows they have plenty of exams to study.

Summary
The lesson starts with the Prezi slides. Students talk about their holiday experience by one by. The lesson
continues with a concept map about touristic places in Turkey and the related activities. The relation
between the cities and activities are shown with the help of a concept map. The teacher makes a sentence as
an example for the students then she asks students to write their own examples. After they are done, they
share their paragraphs with the classroom.
