Modeling and Control of Tracked Mobile Robot with Active Articulated Crawler on 3D Terrain
Master’s Degree The basic idea explored in this research is to control a search and rescue robot moving on uneven
Project terrains in an adaptable manner and simulate it on NIST standard arenas in a virtual environment.
Objectives of this research are as follows:
Modeling of a Tracked mobile robot with active articulated crawler.
To make robot capable of moving efficiently in uneven 3D terrain using skid-steered drive
To develop closed loop control of robot along with the adaption of crawler to account for
robot motion on stairs and pitch-ramps.
Smart metering system for domestic water distribution systems using wireless sensor networks:
This research was an effort in collaboration with KICS UET Lahore to develop a smart metering and
monitoring system in Pakistan. A wireless sensor network system using NFR24l01 was proposed for
smart metering of domestic water usage at water distribution level to provide an opportunity to monitor
water consumption variables remotely in real time.
Design & simulation of mobile robot printer for fabric:
Working on design and simulation of a novel smart mobile robot printer, using differential drive
platform, image processing, feedback control and posture stabilization techniques to do calligraphy on
a smooth surface.
Method and apparatus for yarn length measuring devices (Patent filed):
A humidity sensor based device is prepared for non-contact measurement of yarn length/ speed in textile
industries.
