We use simple past tense for a completed action in the past. Fill in the blanks:
Here is a picture of a car festival. A boy narrates how he enjoyed it. On Friday, I went

Today I helped my mom cook dinner. We carefully cut the vegetables and slowly placed
them into a boiling pot of water. I eagerly waited for my next job, which was to gently sprinkle
