Driving Question How will having an art workshop during lunch at Poly benefit the students?
What information did you learn through your research that you will apply to the practicum? Provide
specific details.
Information that I learned throughout my research that I will apply to the practicum is how art helps to open up
a state of mind that the traditional talks with a therapist can’t. Also some patients that have suffered from an
illness have put out that art really helped them in such a way that a man, Adamson had opened up a studio in
order for people to test out this method that helps benefit many people by easing into a state of calm state of
mind. The way Adamson had done this was mainly for those children that had been neglected by family and
get to speak out with their art.
Learning Goals/Outcomes: What will you understand and/or be able to do as a result of your
practicum?
What I would be able to do as a result of my practicum is try and form an art workshop during lunch
and have students have fun creating a piece of art. My goal is that the art workshop ends up working
out successfully and the students have fun and feel light and calm while doing it. What I will
understand as a result of the practicum is that there will be people who will question that art is also
used as a sort of therapy and can help calm and open up your mind with a light mood to it.

step for completing your product (emails, photos, videos, interviews- recorded or transcribed, surveys,
phone call logs, etc...). You may add steps/spaces as needed.

Ask an art teacher if we can have a workshop in their classroom Get a note signed by her
that we would be able to
host it
Ask the participants how they felt along with other questions after the have them take a survey
workshop
Make a graph about their responses and see how well i helped them have positive and
with anything negative responses and
add them together to see
how well the workshop is
going
