PREAMBLE TO THE BILL OF QUANTITIES

NOTE:

1) Prices shall be quoted in Sri Lanka Rupees. It shall be firm and not
subject to any adjustment including variations due to parity rate.
2) It will be the responsibility of the contractor to carry out all the electrical
wiring work from the MCCB provided at lift machine room. Price quoted
shall include all anticipated work which may be permanent or temporary
3) Prior to pricing the bidders are requested to study the technical
specification of this item and familiarize with the full scope of work.
4) Prices quoted shall be for the complete and fully functioning system.
BOQ items are only for major equipment and the quoted price shall
include for all the necessary items for the complete and fully functioning
of the system.
5) Bidder shall fully complete the Technical schedules attached in respect of this item.
Manufacturer's technical broachers identifying the proposed items shall be submitted.
Submission of bid without completion of Technical schedules and supporting document
may be liable for rejection of bid.

 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE AFTER FREE MAINTENANCE PERIOD

Annual fee for providing comprehensive maintenance service.

The work shall include sending of Contractor’s personnel once every two months during normal
working hours of a normal working day to inspect, clean, oil, grease and replacement of spares
where necessary, adjust the machinery and equipment and attending to emergency call back
service immediately the owner notifies the contractor.

The amount quoted for servicing and maintenance shall include the cost of supply of all
replacement spares, necessary oil, grease and cleaning materials. These prices will be
considered for bid evaluation to arrive at a final evaluated bid price discounting to present value
at the rate of 10% per annum.
